If you haven't obtained your student certificate before arriving in town, we can assist you obtaining it, but we advise obtaining it before arriving in town to expedite your pilot training.
A medical certificate is not required, but we recommend obtaining a Second Class Medical to go along with your training.

You have to walk before you can run, and obtaining your Private Certificate through our flight school means that you can now fly a hot air balloon as the PIC and carry passenger with you on your flights .

Our Part 61 Flight School
There are two ways for you to obtain your pilot’s certificate here in Albuquerque - Part 61 vs Part 141. What we are talking about is the federal regulations under which it has the authority to train pilots.
Both sets of regulations define minimum requirements for pilot training and certification.
Both methods of flight training require the student to meet the same standard of performance in order to obtain a pilot certificate.
Both types of flight schools teach to the same requirements under the FAA Airman Certification Standards.
We are a Part 61 Balloon Flight School and we train our students one-on-one, a customized program to meet your level of knowledge and skills; offering you our full attention all the way through your training, flight lessons, and check-ride with the FAA Examiner.
A Part 141 Flight School is a very concentrated program in which you could, quite possibly, obtain your certificate in a few less hours.
You will, however, spend the same number of hours in the air and in the classroom working on your skills with us as you would with them as the national average for becoming a private pilot is around twice of either part’s minimums.
Our instructors will work with you one-on-one, both on the ground and in the air, to ensure that your skills are second-to-none, and that you are well prepared to pass both your written exam and your check-ride with your examiner.
